Gorgeous Cosmetics....truly gorgeous!

One of the best things about social media especially Instagram is the beauty community and finding new companies and products you never heard of! I found out about a company called Gorgeous Cosmetics and one look through their profile I knew they were just that, "Gorgeous"! I had to try their products and do a review! What I chose from Gorgeous Cosmetics is their foundation, Romance Smokey Eyes eyeshadow palette, two Colour Flash Glitters in Icicle and Mardi Gras and their Glitz Fix Adhesive! Let's get on to my thoughts!

Foundation-

I have been using this foundation for about the last week and I have to say I really like it! I love the coverage that it provides and how long lasting it is. It does come off a little yellow on me and the shade is not a perfect match. That doesn't have anything to do with the product, just more of the shade that I selected. We all know how hard it is to pick the perfect shade from your phone screen! The foundation has a pleasant scent to it; it smells like a like perfumed lotion. I personally love it because I think it smells clean and fresh. My husband on the other hand hates it! The first day I wore it and he came home and kissed me, he backed away then, came back towards my face and smelt my face and said I smell "makeup-ey" Haha I found it funny that he actually noticed the scent! The smell is all personal preference but it is something that lingers on your skin,

The foundation works great with every primer I have tried besides my YSL primer, with that one it broke up in areas around my mouth and nose after about two hours of wear. Pairing the foundation with my Dr Brandt Pores No More was my favorite combination, there was no breaking up on my face, no oxidizing and lasted around 6-7 hours. What I noticed about this foundation that I love is that it doesn't make my skin look oily! I am able to layer the foundation to achieve full coverage. Overall I'm happy with it; I would love it if the color matched me better!

Colour Flash Glitter in Icicle and Mardi Gras and their Glitz Fix Adhesive

This was fun to try! I'm not huge into glitter but thought with the holidays right around the corner it would be perfect! Boy was I right! The Colour Flash Glitter is stunning! Icicle is a pretty sliver and Mardi Gras is a bright pink. Both are extremely fine loose glitter (I did use it on my eye lids with the Glitz Fix Adhesive) which worked perfectly together!

I did my eye makeup like normal then applied the Glitz Fix Adhesive on top of my eyeshadow. It did not smudge my shadows at all or make a mess. It doesn't feel gooey like other glitter glues I have tried in the past either. I let the Glitz Fix Adhesive sit for a couple of seconds then applied the glitter with a brush, I let it sit for a few more seconds until I felt it was dry, applied my liner and mascara and was good to go! I was amazed how well the glitter stuck to the Glitz Fix! I experienced minimal glitter fall out which I just brushed away easily with a powder brush.

Throughout the day the glitter stayed on with no fall out. There was absolutely no cracking or caking up of the Glitz Fix. Honestly this stuff is amazing together and I now want all of the glitters! This is better than the Too Faced glue and that was a favorite! When I washed my face before bed, everything was easy to remove with eye makeup remover. This is by far my favorite combo and products I tried from Gorgeous Cosmetics!

Romance Smokey Eyes Eyeshadow Palette-

Wow!! These shades in the Romance Smokey Eyes Eyeshadow Palette are stunning! While looking on Gorgeous Cosmetics website, I was instantly drawn to this palette! You have warm and cool toned, dark and light shades. Four colors and it's enough to make an entire eye look! I usually have to add in other palettes to create a look, not with this though, you have a great under the brow shade, crease color, lid and under the lash line! You can even switch it up for multiple looks! The case it comes in is travel friendly and the shadow sizes are large! This will last me a long time. The colors are pigmented, no fall out and last all day long with no fading. My favorite color is the palette is the Dusk Rose!

I am so impressed with this brand! Everything is top quality products, including their customer service and shipping! They have many products to choose from, something to fit everyone's needs! House of European Hair- Review

I have been wearing extensions for the last 7 years but regularly on a daily basis almost 5 years. I have tried many brands and have 28 pairs of clip in extensions! I can’t live without them! I like how you can totally change up your look and instantly have thicker, longer and more luxurious hair!

My hair is naturally long to right about my boob (haha only way I can explain it) but I have noticed the last few years it getting thinner. Right now I use extensions to add volume more so than length. A couple of years ago I had my hair ombred and it fried off which is when extensions saved my life! I literally looked like I had a mullet!

I have been looking for a new brand of extensions to try which had me scrolling through hashtags on Instagram and I came across House of European Hair., what drew me to their hair first was the band and how they looked! Almost invisible! I found out that they have another company called invisitab which is there other hair extension brand, Invisitab is only Tape-In Extensions. With House of European Hair they are using that same exact hair as invisitab, just adding clips to it. Making the only difference between Invisitab and House of European Hair extensions is the application method, Invisitab is tape-in and HEH is Clip-in.

I personally prefer clip in extensions because it gives you the ability to switch up your hair as often as you want to and the ease of taking it in and out daily with no commitment and almost no damage to your hair.

Invisitab and House of European Hair have a unique band; the band that keeps the hair together at the base, it is nearly invisible and appears to be growing out of your scalp by laying flat against your scalp. The invisible band prevents shedding by bonding every single strand of hair together. Pretty impressive were my thoughts! I was intrigued and excited to try them!

When I got my extensions I loved how they were packaged beautifully inside a box with little white ribbons tied in perfect bows. My first impression is that the hair is extremely soft, the band looked unique, almost like clear thick tape, I love the highlighted hair and the length was perfect. 

Once I took the hair out of its box, there are 7 wefts there are –

One- 10 inch

The hair seemed very thin from what I am use to and was nervous to try them on! I even emailed right away asking how many grams the hair was and told they “do not sell by grams, we sell by lengths- 14"-16"-18"-20" so that did throw me off a little. I think if you have thin to normal hair one pack of hair would be enough, but if your hair is even just a little thick you will need one and a half to two of packs of hair.

I have been wearing the hair for about a week now and feel like I can give a pretty honest opinion of the hair. Let’s start with the good things, the hair is gorgeous and of high quality, the clips are strong and the invisible band is the best band I have ever used. The band lies perfectly flat up against my head. The hair is extremely light weight to where, I kid you not it doesn’t even feel like you are wearing extensions! The extensions themselves are not heavy and not pulling on my hair. The thing that I adore about the hair is how they do not get knotty or ratting and I have minimal shedding, this is something I have had issues in the past with a couple of other brands. I felt like every time I would brush my hair, clumps would just fall out.

The hair holds a curl nicely. I have naturally wavy hair and like to wear my hair curly 98% of the time (the other 2% is when I am at home having no makeup days haha) basically if I am leaving the house my hair is curled. I noticed at first the hair would not hold the curl long at all, even after using the curling wand at a higher heat and using a good amount of hair products, the curls would start to fall out within an hour. As the week has gone on and the more I have curled the extension, now the curls last almost the entire day. I just make sure to make my curls tight, so when they start to fall they look the way I want them to.

Nothing is perfect and some of the things I don’t love about the extensions are how thin they are, I got these highlighted and thankfully had another set from another company that look exactly like the House of European Hair,  I was able to combine them with this set. I think when people are buying extensions and putting money into hair they should know exactly what they are buying with length and grams. This would help people be able to compare and know how much hair they need.

These extensions are extremely comfortable and light weight. I like how they look and feel natural. The texture looks exactly like my real hair. It blends in with my hair and does not give me headaches. I can wear these for 10-12 hours and not once do they bother me.

I asked Cindy from House of European Hair some common questions and here are her answers-

Mother’s Day- Daisy’s for Mom!

As a mommy of two I always look forward to Mother’s Day! It’s a day just for Mom! My children and husband always go out of their way to make sure my day is special and for the last couple of years since my children are older, it always starts off with breakfast in bed made my kiddos (last year it was ants on a log, you remember those right?! Celery, with peanut butter spread inside and raisins on top!) I don’t know what it is but the simplest of things are always the best made by someone you love! With breakfast always comes with flowers and presents! The rest of the day usually is relaxing, just spending the day with my family and going out to dinner. I love Mother’s Day!

I don’t know about you but I enjoy getting flowers but I always tell my husband “don’t waste your money on flowers, they just die” and this got me thinking….what would the perfect Mother’s Day gift be? Then it dawned on me perfume that smells like flowers! So, that brought me to getting on my computer and scrolling through fragrancenet.com! Daisy Dream-

Marc Jacob never disappoints me with his super cute girly packaging! This bottle has little white daisy’s all over the bottle and the cap. The actual perfume is baby blue and makes the pretties accent to the bottle. It makes me instantly think of a field of daisy with clear blue skies! It comes with an adorable matching box. The perfume has a fruity florally scent the notes are-

Blackberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Jasmine, Lychee, Blue Wisteria, White Woods, Musks, Coconut Water.

Daisy Dream is so dreamy (haha like that?!) long lasting, with a fresh scent. This will quickly become a favorite for spring and summer, maybe even my signature scent for the warmer months!

Of course I got mine off fragrencenet because it’s a no brainer; they always have the best deals! Daisy Delight-

What drew me to Daisy Delight I must admit was the packaging! It is a clear bottle, and the cap has pink and teal daisies on it! Pink and teal were my wedding colors, so of course that means anything with those colors I need to have! When I got the perfume and smelt it I was impressed! Just like with the entire Daisy Collection I was hooked! It smells fresh, light and flirty! The notes are-

apple, quince, freesia, gardenia, peony

Again this scent is long lasting and nothing over powering, it just melts into your skin and throughout the day can smells hints of flowers! It is memorizing.

You can’t go wrong with either of these scents but if I had to choose which one I liked best it would be Daisy Dream! This entire line from Marc Jacobs is quickly becoming some of my favorite scents and I want to collect them all!

I think any mom would adore either of these perfumes! Instead of bringing your mom or wife a bouquet of flowers, bring her a couple of perfumes, which cost just the same as those flowers but will last her so much longer. Every time she sees the perfume bottles on her vanity or wearing the fragrance she will instantly think of you!

Pop Princess Scents- Britney Spears Curious Heart and Ari by Ariana Grande

There is no denying it I am a HUGE Britney Spears fan! Since I was 16, I’ve loved her! I owned all of her CD’s, had her posters on my wall I even had her hair style! Now at 32 my love is still strong for Britney and one of my favorite Pop Princesses! Now, that I have a daughter of my own one of her favorite Pop Princess is Ariana Grande and I adore her to! Her music is uplifting and fun and who doesn’t love old reruns of Victorious or Sam and Cat?!?!

I knew Britney and Ariana both had perfumes and thought it would be fun to do a blog post on both of their scents!

Britney Spears- Curious Heart

I already owned the “original” Curious by Britney Spears and use to be my go to scent back in 2008! I was really hoping I would enjoy Curious Heart just as much and I was pleasantly surprised! It smells similar to Curious but has a little more of a vanilla smell which is perfect for me since I am drawn to the sweet smell of vanilla!

The packaging is girly and pink and just screams Britney! The box the perfume comes in is pink with hearts on it. The actual perfume bottle has the same unique shape as Curious and comes with an atomizer which gives it an added touch of class. The actual design on the bottle made me automatically think of Ed Hardy! It is baby pink with hearts with wings and a banner with the name of the perfume and the atomizer is a pretty bright pink!

The notes are- Louisiana magnolia, golden Anjou pear, lotus flower, tuberose, star jasmine, pink cyclamen, vanilla-infused musk, sandalwood and blonde woods.

The design of the bottle is great, nothing leaks and the perfect amount comes out with each spray from the atomizer. It has a light crisp sweet scent that is long lasting! Extremely long lasting for me actually I could still smell it on myself at the end of the day after I put it on around 7am. Pretty impressive! If you like vanilla and flowers, this would be your scent!

It is even has an adorable white pom-pom and the bottle looks and feels luxurious. The little mini perfume looks the exact same as the full sized bottle minus the pom-pom. The lotion bottle is super girly in the colors white, lavender, pink and gold! Just an overall stunning collection!

The actual scent is sexy and fun and extremely feminine. It is sweet, with hints of floral, fruit and the best part marshmallow! You literally smell delicious when you wear this perfume! 

The Fragrance Notes are-

Top: Crispy pear, pink grapefruit, juicy raspberry

Heart: Soft muguet, rose buds, vanilla orchid

Drydown: Marshmallow, creamy musk, blonde woods

This is a very sweet smelling perfume but nothing over powering. It smells very young and fresh. The lotion matches the perfume perfectly and has a great thick texture. This scent is not as long lasting as 

Britney Spears Curious Heart but if I had to choose which scent I like more I would pick Ari by Ariana Grande!

Both of these scents really bring out the Pop Princess in all of us! They not only smell amazing but are so pretty to display and add to your collection!

Best Spring Scents! Fresh Flowers featuring Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, Marc Jacobs Daisy and Coach Poppy

Can you believe it is March 1^st?!?! Spring is right around the corner and it is my FAVORITE time of the year! The beautiful flowers, the bright pastel colors, being able to wear dresses all the time, new handbags, newly released makeup and of course the best spring scents!

So this past weekend the weather was amazing! 60’s sunny and warm! Today we are getting hit by a snow storm! Oh lovely mid-west living haha! The snow isn’t bringing me down today though because I know Spring is almost here and had me thinking about what the best scents are for this amazing season and my picks are- Viktor& Rolf Flowerbomb, Marc Jacobs Daisy and Coach Poppy!

All of these scents are fun, girly and floral.  They really make me get into the spring mood! When I think about Spring I think about flowers and the warmer weather, every single one of the perfumes I chose fit that theme and just makes me in a happy mood when I wear them. Viktor& Rolf Flowerbomb

This has to be one of the perfumes I have wanted to try the most in a long time! I have heard literally nothing but good reviews on flowerbomb! Is it worth the hype?! The answer to that question is YES! It is totally worth the hype!

The scent is so yummy and rich. It has a very unique smell and the longer you wear it the better it gets! It is one of those perfumes that just ties together your outfit and makes me feel put together! 

Some of the notes are-

Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, Ballerina Freesia, Patchouli.

I love the the bottle and how classy and luxurious it looks! The added follower with the V&R emblem fits it perfectly!

Marc Jacobs Daisy

No doubt Marc Jacobs Daisy is the perfect spring scent! I mean besides the bottle screaming SPRING with its cute little daisy’s on the cap, this perfume just smells like a warm spring day with flowers in the breeze! I love the sweet floral smell. It instantly lifts my mood and it is something you can wear either day or night!

Coach Poppy has been a perfume I have wanted for a long time! Whenever I got samples of it I would just bath in the perfume because it smells so good! It reminds me of a floral bouquet with beautiful fresh flowers. It is said that Coach Poppy “possesses a blend of Sweet, Aquatic, Powdery, Vanilla, and And Citrus.” It is spring in a bottle!

Dr Brandt- Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Facial Mask

Who doesn’t appreciate being pampered? I know I do! I love being able to go out and have a girl’s day at the spa, get my hair and nails done, and a good facial. It always rejuvenates me! Now actually finding the time to do all of that is hard! I find myself more and more these days opting to stay at home and do my own hair, nails, and facials. With having a family and a busy schedule, it just works out better for me, plus its fun finding new products to try out! When Amy from Dr. Brandt reached out to me to try a product from the Dr Brandt Line, I was ecstatic! I chose the Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Facial Mask. This Facial Mask is like nothing I have ever tried! This is truly magical and let me tell you why!

I got my Dr Brandt Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Facial Mask and opened up the box and thought right away how cute the bottle was! It is a unique oval shape in a beautiful dark teal color. The product is dispersed out of a pump, which always gives you the right amount of product and a mess free application.

I use my mask by squirting out some of the product into my hand. It comes out like the texture of a lotion. I then apply a thin layer all over my damp face making sure to apply it evenly and not rubbing it in. After I apply the thin layer over my entire face, I leave it on for about 5 minutes. The directions say to leave it on between 3-5 minutes. While it is sitting on your face the lotion-like texture starts foaming into tiny little bubbles!  Once the oxygen spheres becoming fully activated, you will start to feel bubbles all over your face! This is like a feeling I have never experienced before! You can literally feel the bubbles cleaning out all of the dirt from your pores!  At first it feels like a tickling and intense  but as time goes on it feels really good and soothing. You can even hear the bubbles popping all over! I even grabbed a mirror to watch the foam and bubbles go to work which happens due to the Oxygen mask being activated!  The bubbles slowly start to fade away from one area to the next. This made me feel like that area of my face was all clean. Once my 5 minutes were up I made sure to rinse my face thoroughly with warm water. After I rinsed my face WHOA!! My face was incredibly soft, my skin felt so luminous and hydrated!

About 2 and a half  minutes in you can  see how the bubbles are starting to break up and disappear. You can feel that deep clean!

Dr Brandt Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Facial Mask hands down has been the best at home facial I have ever done! It felt like I was getting a professional facial! I have never experienced this with an at home product! I can totally understand why this won SHAPE Best of Beauty Award in 2015 for Best Mask!

From the website, it says the mask “ helps lessen the look of fatigued skin. It works to provide tired, dull, lackluster skin with a revitalized, illuminated, and re-energized appearance. It also helps smooth the signs of fine lines. The potent formula was inspired by the most popular facial in Dr. Brandt’s practice and takes just three minutes for full effect. “

I find this all to be true! Only after a couple of uses my skin feels more hydrated and has a healthy glow!
