New Too Faced Sugar Pop

If you're into super cute packaging then Too Faced is definitely going to be one of your top makeup favs! They never fail to impress me with their adorable packaging and their high-quality products.  When I saw that Too Faced was having a brand-new summer line and Sugar Pop palette was one of the items on the summer line, I knew it would be something I'd have to pick up. What stood out to me is how colorful the palette is and how it just has that summer feel! The Sugar Pop palette is available online at toofaced.com and Ulta.com and will hitting stores and Sephora soon. It retails for $36 and worth every penny!
Sugar Pop palette and Glamour Guide

The Sugar Pop palette comes in a tin case that opens magnetically, it is very sturdy. It is a nice compact size that would be perfect for travel or to throw in your purse for on the go. If you're familiar with Too Faced at all, the packaging is the same as their other palettes this size. The outside is decorated with colorful macaroons and is just so sweet and cute! This case will last a long time, even when all of the makeup is gone I will be able to keep this case. When you open up the palette there is a beautiful display of nine colors. The eyeshadows are divided in three different looks. The looks Too Faced created starting with the top row are: Sweet and Spicy, middle row Sugar Plums, and the last row is Candy Coated. When you open the pallet they have included a glamour guide to help you achieve these looks. You don't have to limit yourself there; this palette can offer you countless other looks!  Once you take out the glamour guide, you are left with a nice sized mirror that is perfect for you to apply your make up.

Box that Sugar Pop came in and actual palette

The eyeshadow colors are,

Rock Candy- is a beautiful brow bone color or all over lid color. It is a creamy-nude-bone shade with light specks of glitter.

Macaroon- is a very unique color; it looks like an orange-peachy-coral and again with little flecks of sparkle but nothing too overwhelming.

Malted Milk Ball- would be a great transition shade or even crease color. It is a gold tone brown and the slightest amount of shimmer that reflects off the light.

Strawberry Ice- is a very light pale lilac color with undertones of white. This color is gorgeous and one of my favorites!

Sugared Violet-is the only color in my opinion that is lacking in pigmentation. It is a periwinkle color that is purple with blue undertones. I wish this one had more color payoff because it would have been stunning. When swatching this color I did have to swipe about four times. The color on the swatch is much righter then how it transferred to my eyelid.

BlackBerry-is a beautiful deep plum color. This shade would be perfect for an outer-v and cease color. It really can help darken up looks.

Peach Fuzz- is another great neutral; this one does have a little bit more sparkle and shimmer. Especially once it hits the light! This is more of a cream colored peach.

Bubblegum-is a beautiful bright pink with the flecks of shimmer. This pink has a blue undertone and definitely lives up to its name!

Blue Raspberry-this is my favorite color out of the palette and what caught my eye first.  It is a bright teal and a color I have never seen before in any other collection. It reminds me of a robin’s egg.

Down below you will see swatches of all of these eyeshadows.
Unedited swatch. All Colors are from left to right. Top row is Rock Candy, Macaron, Malted Milk Ball. Second row is Strawberry Ice, Sugared Violet, Blackberry. Last row is Peach Fuzz, Bubblegum, Blue Raspberry.

As with other Too Faced eyeshadows, these are quite pigmented. I have not experienced any fallout when applying or swatching them. Even the light colors come off bright and vivid. Like I said earlier, the only color that I'm a little bit disappointed is with Sugared Violet. If you apply the shadows with an eyeshadow base they really pop! Most of these shades do have shimmer in them, so if sparkle and shimmer are not your thing, you may not love this palette. I personally have to use another palette or matte eyeshadow while using this palette because I do need a matte transition shade. It isn't anything serious that would steer me away from the palette though. I like how Sugar Pop has some neutral colors and the bright fun summer colors. The eyeshadows are long wearing, only thing I did notice is after about four hours of wear that Blue Raspberry did begin to fade and I had to touch it up. This was the only shade that I experienced this with.

I am really enjoying this palette and it doesn't surprise me considering Too Faced is my absolute favorite high-end makeup brand and they have never failed me. I’m sure this will become one of my favorite pallets for summertime!  If you’re looking for a new palette for summer or want to brighten up your look then I would recommend it. If you’re scared of color I would still recommend this because you could just use the bright colors as a pop of color along your bottom lash line. Has anyone else picked up this palette? Is it in your summer makeup list?  Let me know your thoughts down below! Don't forget to follow me on IG @adrienneroyale

Maybelline’s The Blushed Nudes? Is it a dupe for Urban Decays Naked 3?

Ever since I saw Maybelline’s The Blushed Nudes eyeshadow palette a few weeks while scrolling through my news feed,   I knew it was something I had to have and thought it was absolutely stunning! You’ll quickly learn that, anything with a pink in it is something I have to have!

As soon as I saw this new palette I searched online and found it on Walmart.com but it was sold out. I did some research on the eyeshadow palette and I am pretty sure that it is an exclusive Walmart item, so I basically started to stalk my local Walmart’s for these Maybelline eye shadows. I wasn't having any luck trying to find it and once this happens I get into the mode of” I really have to have this product!”  and won’t stop the search until I find it, and have it my hands! I even get my husband into it and have him stopping at random Walmart’s!

I kept checking online and in store and here is a quick tip-now online at Walmart.com it will tell you that the palette is sold out, but it will let you do a search of your local locations where you will be able to see where the palette is in stock. One night around 10pm I was so happy to find out that 5 different locations had it in stock! I went to one and nothing, so I decided to call and the product was not in their system! I was so upset, why would they state it’s online but not actually in the store?! On Saturday I went to Walmart and asked to speak with a manger and he was able to look the palette up by the UPC code (here is the UPC code 0 004155 443486).  After looking up the UPC code, while it was not at their location, he was able to tell me another Walmart location that had them in stock. I was able to finally go get it! This may be helpful to one of you who just can’t wait to get your hands on this beautiful Blushed Nudes Palette! You can either call or go into your local Walmart and have them look the item up by the UPC code and they can tell you if they have it in stock and also how many that they have on hand in the store! Now, on to my actual review!

When I finally got this beauty in my hands I was so excited, it truly is beautiful with the rose gold shades! It reminds me of one of my favorite pallets by Urban Decay, the Naked 3 palette. I don’t often buy Maybelline shadows so was not sure of the how the quality would be, but I am very impressed!  I have now worn these shadows for the last several days since I got it and have been able to make so many different looks. I think it is a good drugstore dupe for the Naked 3.

What I love about this palette is that there is a ton of color payoff and it is super buildable, the shadows are very pigmented and little fall out. I always use a primer with any eye shadows and these are long wearing. They lasted all day (about 8 hours until I washed my eye makeup off) and there was so no creasing and little fading and I did not have to touch my eyes up once! The only thing I am not impressed with is the little eye shadow brushes they give with the palette. They aren’t anything special, but for a palette that is only $9.98 I cannot complain! I wish that the actual shadows had individual names, but again nothing to really complain about. None of these shadows were gritty which, is something I find with a couple of my Naked 3 shadows. Again, I am so impressed with Maybelline! I love the packaging to, it’s adorable and compact and I really enjoy how they have a little open window so you can see into the shadows.

Now, is this Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette an actual dupe for Naked 3? It’s not an exact dupe but it is pretty close with several of the shades! For a $44 dollar price different, it's totally impressive. Naked 3 is $54 and Maybelline The Blushed Nudes is only $9.98! If you are a beauty on a budget or just love collecting makeup, I think this is something you should pick up!

Down below are swatches in sunlight with no flash.  The top row is Maybelline and the bottom row is Urban Decay. This is with no eye shadow primer and you can see how vivid and pigmented these colors are! Now, I will say on several of the darker shades Urban Decay does have a bit more pigmentation, but with the Blushed Nudes you can build the color so it isn’t something I am upset about. What blows me away with the Blushed Nudes Palette is all of the pink shades. I feel they pop and I actually like their pink shades more than Urban Decay! Here comes where I wish they had individual names, the light pink shade in the Blushed Nudes has so much color payoff and is so gorgeous!  I can see this being my go to color! If you were to compare it to a shade in Naked 3, it would be the shade Dust, and while I love Dust, it is so, well “dusty” literally! It has so much fall out and not much color payoff and just a total miss. Something that always upset me because the color looks so beautiful in the pan.  Not all of the colors are dupes and I don’t think that is what Maybelline was going for, but there are many colors that are so similar and like I said for the price difference you cannot go wrong!  The shadows are so velvety smooth and blend so well, you can go from day to night with this palette.

Top row Maybelline Blushed Nudes Bottom row Urban Decay Naked 3

Overall, I love this palette and can see it getting so much use in the future. It won’t replace my naked 3 but that one pink shade will be something that I know I will use daily; it’s just a perfect brow bone color for me! If you’re out at Walmart and you see this palette I would say go ahead and pick it up! You will not be disappointed!

Anyone else get their hands on this yet? Thoughts? I would love to hear from you! Don’t forget to follow me on IG @adrienneroyale. If there is anything you would like to me review I would be happy to, just let me know!

Mac Bao Bao Wan- Lavender Jade

Guess what arrived in the mail yesterday?! None other than Lavender Jade from the Mac Bao Bao Wan Collection! In my last post about this collection, I mentioned how I ordered the Lavender Jade and my order was cancelled, well Nordstrom was amazing and shipped out my lipstick and got it delivered in a day! Talk about being impressed!
Lavender Jade and Romatic Breakdown from the Mac Bao Bao Wan Collection

When my order first got cancelled, I tried to not let it get me down and I thought I wouldn't wear the color very often. After seeing hundreds of pictures of this now famous-hard-to-get lipstick all over my social media, I wanted it even more and was starting to get sad my order was cancelled. So, when my order finally went through my excitement was threw the roof! I was so nervous the entire time from getting the shipped email until the lipstick was at my door. I thought that they made a mistake sending it to me and either there would be no lipstick in the box or the wrong color. I waited all day yesterday for the mailman and late in the afternoon my amazing husband comes home with a bag full of makeup goodies that he just picked up at the store for me! While going through my bag full of new goodies and looking at all of  the new nail polishes and lip-glosses he just bought me, I then came to the very end of the bag and he snuck in my Lavender Jade! What a sneaky guy! I was so excited I literally screamed and opened it right up and gave him a huge hug!

This lipstick is like no other color that I own, I own several different purples but this is so unique. It is a purple but with pink undertones and in a matte formula. This lipstick retails for $17.50, but I have seen it for $40-$80 off places like Amazon and Ebay. I can imagine the price will keep rising.  I paired this lipstick with a pinkish-purple lip liner from Essence in the color Mauve and put a Nyx Butter Lipgloss in Merenque over it.   It made my lips the most beautiful baby pinky purple shade! I am sure mixing a few other lippies with this Lavender Jade, you can come up with a ton of looks. This lipstick alone is gorgeous.  Below you will find my swatch, this is unedited  and in natural sunlight. Lavender Jade is very wearable and I feel suitable for all skin tones. I also added Romantic Breakdown from my previous purchase, so you could see the two swatches side by side.

Romantic Breakdown and Lavender Jade

This lipstick, like most Mac lipsticks for me, is long wearing and feels good on my lips. It is not chalky and the smell is amazing! I am really happy with both of my purchases from the Mac Bao Bao Wan Collection and now my Romantic Breakdown is complete with Lavender Jade! Did any of you get anything from this collection? I would love for you to share with me what your thoughts are and what you got! I am excited for Mac Is Beauty set to release March 26th online. Is anyone planning on picking up anything from that collection? Don't forget to follow me on IG @adrienneroyale!

Nyx Micro Brow Pencil

There has been a lot of talk going on in the makeup community about the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil and I have been wanting to get my hands on it for a couple of weeks now but my local Ulta was sold out of it until yesterday! I was able to pick up the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil and after swatching several different colors I chose Taupe. Currently I am using Too Faced Brow Envy ($39) brow powder along with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade ($18) is Soft Brown. When I heard about the Nyx pencil I knew I had to pick it up! It is only $9.99 at Ulta and Nyx has never let me down, so I figured hey why not try it out?

The Nyx Micro Brow Pencil has sleek packaging in black and white and comes in 7 different colors. When I did swatch the browns all did come off very similar. The color I chose taupe comes off as a nice rich medium brown. This pencil is double ended, with one end being the automatic pencil and the other end being a spoolie. The weight of this product is 0.003oz or 0.09g.

The pencil end is automatic so there is no worry to have to sharpen it and just like the name “Micro” that is exactly what it is! This pencil is amazing! I stopped using eyebrow pencils awhile back but with this I am definitely going to be using it! The micro pencil lets you get into your eyebrow and draw even the tiniest of detail. It makes it look very natural, precise and blendable! This pencil paired with the Too Faced brow powder makes your eyebrows look amazing and stay in place all day long! There has been no smudging of any sort after over 10 hours of wear!  I have only used this product twice but I am already in love! The spoolie on the opposite end of the pencil is nice but it is a little big for my liking. It won’t get much to use for myself, unless I  am on the run and need to do a touch up and do not have my eyebrow kit with me.

Overall, I am highly impressed with this Nyx Micro Brow Pencil and it will become part of my everyday brow routine! I am so glad I made this purchase and once again Nyx has done it and made a product I will buy again and again! This pencil is highly affordable and I definitely recommend it! Have you tried this pencil yet? What are your thoughts?

Mac Bao Bao Wan Romantic Breakdown

Mac Bao Bao Wan was another highly anticipated Mac limited release and not much caught my eye from this collection. I did pick up the lipstick Romantic Breakdown and am surprised at how much I love it! The lipstick is a nice peachy nude and in a lustre formula and retails for $17.50. It glides on creamy and smooth and is pretty long wearing. The packaging is gorgeous and gives you a rich feel with the gold accents.

There are four lipsticks on this collection and everyone was going for the Lavender Jade, I did get my hands on it but then I got the sad email from Nordstrom that my order was cancelled. I wasn't to let down as I knew that I would probably never actually wear the pastel purple color. I am happy with my purchase of Romantic Breakdown and it will look great with a nice smokey eye. I am sure I will pair it with a pink lip liner and a nude gloss to go over it. I love mixing my lipsticks and give it its own customized color!

This wasn't a collection worth losing sleep over. I am so excited for Mac IS Beauty that will be released at the end of this month! I plan on picking up quite a few items from that collection. Did any of you pick up anything from the Mac Bao Bao Collection? What did you get and what were your thoughts? Be sure to follow me on IG at @adrienneroysle!

Mac Cinderella

The wait is over! Finally after months of waiting my Mac Cinderella is here! Let me tell you, it is beyond my expectations and has me jumping for joy like when I was a little girl and my mom would put Cinderella in the VHS for me to watch (oh no! I am showing how old I am) it’s beautiful and every girl who is a princess at heart would enjoy!  We know the packaging is very "Cinderella Like" but how is the product? That is what I am here for, to do an in depth review of the Mac Cinderella collection,

If you’re on any type of social media platform you know the buzz this collection has had. I myself stayed up the entire night to be able to get a chance to get my hands on this collection. There was no way I was missing the opportunity. Instagram was going crazy with posts from people all over just waiting for the collection to go live on the site.  Finally after a long night at 7:30am Mac Cinderella was launched! Thank goodness I was stalking the Mac website or I would have missed it! One of the lipsticks was sold out within minutes! I was able to get everything I had my heart set on! From the collection I got both lipsticks in “Royal Ball” and “Free As A Butterfly”, the lipglass in “Happily Ever After”, the eyshadow pallet in “Stroke Of Midnight, the mascara and what I wanted the most the iridescent powder in “Coupe D’Chic”

The boxes that the products came in are even super cute! The boxes are a light blue with gold writing and gold accents. I absolutely love the quality and feel of the products. When I opened the boxes and saw the actual packaging I was amazed! Depending on how the light shines on the package it looks like a light blue almost opal pearly periwinkle color. Everything has gold accents and makes it look very much like a Royal Princess! Overall this collection is quite stunning and will look great on my vanity! The packaging alone had me sold!

Now onto how I actually feel about the products and swatches. Let’s start off with the lipsticks and the lipglass. Both of the lipsticks are lustre, feel very creamy on the lips and glides on smoothly but the color payoff is very sheer but buildable. It is perfect for everyday wear but honestly not something I am that impressed with. I do like the Royal Ball much better than Free As A Butterfly since the color payoff is actually visible. Free As A Butterfly barely shows up on my lips. When I did the swatch I had to swipe back and forth about 10 times! Each of these retailed at $17.50.
Royal Ball and Free As A Butterfly

As for the lipglass Happily Ever After, in the bottle it is the most gorgeous light pale pink with sparkle but as soon as you put it on your lips the sparkle looks blue. While it is very pretty it is hard to wear alone, at least on myself. Putting the lipglass over a lipstick does look very princess-like. The lipglass retails at $16.50. Side note “Free as a Butterfly” on my order form says “Secret Lover” but “Free As A Butterfly” is actually printed on the lipstick. I know there was some confusion on a third “secret lipstick” I still do not know why they gave the lipstick two different names but I assure you there is only two actual lipsticks in the collection.
Happily Ever After

Left to right Free As A Butterfly, Royal Ball lipstick and Happily Ever After Lipglass

The eye shadow X6 in Stroke Of Midnight is something I went back and forth on buying but after looking threw many swatches online I knew had to have it! I am so happy I made this purchase!  Five of the eye shadow colors are permanent and the bottom color Stroke Of Midnight is limited edition and exclusive for this pallet. In my swatches below I only had to swipe twice. The color payoff is pigmented and vibrant, a little goes a long way and there is a nice mixture of matte, shimmer and sparkle shades. This eye shadow pallet will make a ton of different looks from day to night. This is one of my favorite purchases from this collect. Stroke Of Midnight retails for $44.
Stroke Of Midnight Eye Shadow Pallet

My absolute favorite item from this collection is the iridescent pressed power in Coupe D’Chic. In the swatch below I noticed it does not show up very much but in person it is the most beautiful pink with gold sparkles and just perfect over a matte blush, alone or even as a highlight. It really brightens up your skin and gives you just a hint of shimmery and makes you feel like a princess for the day! The compact that it comes in has a built in mirror and fits perfectly in your hand. This retails for $28.
Coupe D'Chic

From left to right first swatch is over Coupe D'Chic following six are the Stroke Of Midnight eye shadows

Lastly what I picked up from the Mac Cinderella Collection was the Studio Fix Lash Mascara in Bold Black. This is standard mascara and does help lengthen my lashes and is buildable. Again the packing alone makes this mascara worth it and paired with your favorite mascara this would be perfection! For the retail price of $19 you can’t beat it!
Studio Fix Lash Mascara

Over all I love this collection! My daughter even saved up her allowance to be able to get some items. It makes you reminisce and feel young again. The colors are very light and subtle, I would have been happier with at least one bright pink lipstick and maybe even a pop of blue eye shadow, When I think of Cinderella I just think pink and blue. I’m still impressed and so happy I was able to get my hands on this collection. The powder and eye shadows are my favorite and will get the most use. Have any of you got this collection? What are your thoughts on it? Favorites? Share with me your opinions! I’d love to hear from you!
